The project includes:A 250 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) parkA 700 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)Transmission and distribution networksA desalination plant with a daily capacity of 37 million litres of drinking waterWastewater treatment plants for 24/7 base load reliabilityThis sustainable megaproject is expected to avoid nearly 350,000 tons of CO₂e emissions annually, setting a global benchmark for integrated renewable energy solutions. It supports AMAALA’s first phase, launching in 2025, which will include over 4,000 hotel rooms, 30 hotels, and 1,200 luxury residences.
